This is a meta page with two purposes:
- Provide a single place where all special terms that are used on this wiki can be agreed upon and looked up to guarantee consistency for readers.
- Give readers a place to look up terms they may be unfamiliar with.
Many different people of different backgrounds want to mod, some may have programming experience, some may have modded many games before or even Baldur's Gate 3 and some may have none of these and be unfamiliar with how file endings work or other individual gaps. This is totally fine and hopefully this page will help fill in some of these.
NOTE: This page is still under development, please don't take everything as final and feel free to discuss changes under Discussion.

How to use
Contributers should check out this articel when composing, especially when on a technical topic. Then they can add the terms they use or use terms defined here. It's also fine to in principle add multiple meanings, though an existing meaning should not be changed significantly without ensuring that it will not invalidate uses elsewhere.
An entry in the list should look as follows:
- Term
- Meaning 1
- (Meaning 2)
- ...
And new meanings should be appended, so then you could (if necessary) reference these by saying "Term.1" and linking to this page.

- Plugin
- In the context of the toolkit a plugin is an addition to the base program. Many features are implemented as plugins: The ResourceManager, Sidebar and Level Editor are all separate plugins which can be enabled and disabled. Moonglasses also works as a plugin which enables many other plugins and provides its own features, making advanced modding possible.
